Re: VIDEO: Justin Carbonneau Talks At World Junior Summer Showcase.
CONFIDENCE
He plays hockey to win championships. He said it at the end. He knows the Blues are ramping up to try to win in the next few years, and he is trying to meet that near term moment by leading a championship experience they have been building toward for four years at Blanilla-Beauchambeau. Wants to seize every opportunity. Just wants to use his skill to directly win. I love it.

He is just a very impressive young man. "Top 6, bottom 6, it doesn't matter". We caught a huge break getting him in the first round. He gets the total game demand, has it internalized.

I'll admit that I know nothing about the Q...
Does Blah-ville Boyband really have a chance to win the championship this year?

"Give it my all and try to force their hand"
Now that's an attitude to come to camp with.
He seems rock solid.

Loyalty to his team and sticking with those whom brought him onboard early to get to their coming year's goal.
Confidence. He's good, he'll work on what he needs and believes in himself to do that at whatever level & environment.
Wants to win, wants to develop that mindset that a team needs to do so. Knowing how to win and how to finish is a big deal.
All of the elusive intangibles that some don't fully appreciate when looking at players. "Hard work is a skill," to quote Brian Sutter.
And if he does make it with the Blues this year, then his Junior Team organization understands and supports it. They also are building a solid group, and developing successful players is good for them to hang their hat on as well.

These are things I like, reminds me a bit of Snuggerud.Old_Goat wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 17:17 pm Loyalty to his team and sticking with those whom brought him onboard early to get to their coming year's goal.

Not to take anything away from Snuggerud, cause Im a big fan of his too so far, but I really think Carbonneau has a chance to be markedly better than him even, simply cause I believe everything Carbonneau talks about as far as commitment goes and loyalty, and passion, and the will and intestinal fortitude to do absolutely anything to not just improve, but to keep improving and continuing to get better in all facets of the game. Carbonneau Is either one hell of a used car salesman who has me fooled, or he’s a very rare and special talent who wont be satisfied till he wins championships and pulls everyone into the fight with him.TAFKAP wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 18:01 pmThese are things I like, reminds me a bit of Snuggerud.Old_Goat wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 17:17 pm Loyalty to his team and sticking with those whom brought him onboard early to get to their coming year's goal.

When was the last time the Blues had a top line wing on Team Canada, was Kyrou? Tonight's line of McKenna Misa and Carbonneau is going to be a sight to see

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. It’s great he’s been put on a line with McKenna and Misa but this is a split squad game. Let’s see if he even makes the team in December and what line he’s on in the actual games first. That said, I’m hoping that line is still together tomorrow when I’m there though.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 15:54 pm When was the last time the Blues had a top line wing on Team Canada, was Kyrou? I think so too and one big reason is Carbonneau is already bigger than Jimmy at 18.SameOldBlues wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 14:47 pmNot to take anything away from Snuggerud, cause Im a big fan of his too so far, but I really think Carbonneau has a chance to be markedly better than him
He's got the potential to be our best true power forward in a decade-plus.
