What about signing free agent Cal Foote?
The kid was recently acquitted of charges in the Canada hockey scandal. He's got good size, tough to beat defensively, shoots right and a former first round pick. He's 27 and the son of Adam Foote. I know we've got two guys that already have that stench of the scandal, but that will pass. St. Louis is a forgiving town.

I'm not particularly interested in Foote as i didn't see much there as a player, think he's not even close to the player his dad was, and thats with zero consideration towards the scandal. If we bring that in, i think it's even more reason to not look into him, but wasn't necessary for me to get to that conclusion.

Absolutely no need for em, or Fabbri or any of the other non-prospect scrubs. We have plenty of prospects comin in the near future who the Blues need to allot ice time to to see who are the prospects and who are suspects.

Went through 3 other NHL organizations over almost 6 seasons without really showing very much, all before the news that made many take notice of him. It really doesn't seem like he would be that much better than Kessel.
