It’s a sign the team needs to sell at the deadline because Gorman isn’t going to be the middle of the order bat savior when he gets back

Hitting he is sad to watch. He may just need a new team to turn it up a notch.

He probably needs the IL the shoulder is obviously still bothering him I know people say players should play through injuries but this is what happens when they do a lot of times. Arenado also said he had to change his swing due to the finger problem which lead to the shoulder problem so yea playing through injuries can cause bigger problems

It he wasn’t good before the injuries.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 21:26 pm He probably needs the IL the shoulder is obviously still bothering him I know people say players should play through injuries but this is what happens when they do a lot of times. Players 30 and older decline . Nado’s first 8 years in Denver he averaged .290’s batting.. last 5 years with Cardinals .260’s
Aged 30 thru 34.
The years of playing tales it’s toll on the body. Speed, reflexes, injured muscles, back, legs.
The mind still is sharp but can no longer make the body do its thing.

He has to go. It’s the most important move this team must make.
We can’t truly move forward until this is done

It’s far from a natural decline. He’s cratered far sooner than he should have.

One way or another. You cannot let him play another year here. It serves no purpose whatsoever. He needs to be released if necessary. His contract is a sunk cost.

It's time for a baseball divorce, I think it would help the team.

Arenado needs to go, what has he ever won, like on a good team?
Dude sucks the life out of team with his self absorbed actions.

NA 34
Aaron Judge 33 1.16 ops
and now flexor strain for Judge, is that the same thing that put Pujols in the outfield for a bit when he couldnt throw?

It’s terrible optics to DFA him, but if that’s what you have to do then do it. I still imagine you can find a home for him if you eat 3/4 of the money, but you have to first go to him and say if you don’t accept the trade we are able to make again then we are going to DFA you.

Agreed. There's clearly something zapping his power. Never understood this about professional athletes who've already proven what they're capable of and have enough money to last multiple lifetimes.
We get it. You're a "gamer and competitor" and you want to be out there every night to "help your team." But you don't help your team if you're a f'n shell of the player the team is paying for, the teammates and coaches are counting on, and the fans are paying money to see.
He clearly can still play terrific defense so his athletic ability and speed and have not diminished. But the power is gone. Whether it's surgery, extra-extra rest or whatever you need, he does nothing for this team as a .230 hitting 3rd basemen who's OPS is about to be surpassed by Jordan Walker.
I can't stand Nado. The "gamer" attitude was for the 70's. He's a piece of sh*t as far as baseball's concerned imo.

Caring about optics is for losers. The only caring should be about winning, and Arenado is not going to be part of the future here in a reset or whatever you want to call it.bfib wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 22:13 pmIt’s terrible optics to DFA him, but if that’s what you have to do then do it.
