I suspect it is not his position to say anything. He is not the POBO. MO speaks for the club (and we all want to hurl).

Sadly, this is obviously what DeWitt has decreed.Goldfan wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 09:38 amIs he under a gag order until Mo has cleaned out office??

BDW said at the end of last season……major decisions would be done by committee…BDW, MO, BloomAn Old Friend wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 09:38 amIt's not his job. Have you not read anything that's been reported?

NOT at ALL GF.
Mo is the POBO, this is his team.
It would be extremely poor business etiquette for Bloom to be giving interviews or voicing his opinions outside of the Cardinals front office (which he's been doing).
His time comes after game 162 or the playoffs end.

I was in corporate America 30+ yrs before retiring……the successor to whatever leadership positions was usually given a public viewing and runway along with the old guard who he/she was replacing. They were on the same page, reading the same script but getting his voice and face out there. Unless someone just left out of the blue this was the transition process. Not announcing the replacement who already signed a contract and then never seeing the guyrockondlouie wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:26 am NOT at ALL GF.

And the only reason you don’t do this is that you don’t want the stench of what is about to happen in the final stent of the OLD GUY on the NEW GUYGoldfan wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:32 amI was in corporate America 30+ yrs before retiring……the successor to whatever leadership positions was usually given a public viewing and runway along with the old guard who he/she was replacing. Re: Very odd to hear nothing from Bloom
Not odd at all. Bloom’s role this past year has been redoing our minor league system that had declined . He hired Rob Cerfolio as his right hand man . The two of them are improving technology. In addition the have added coaching, scouting, and analytics I heard.
He has remained in the background on purpose as their should be only one public voice .. Mo the POBO .
Sure the team will hold a press conference announcing the official passing of the torch to Bloom.

Mo did it every offseason and deadline. We are looking for two starters Lynn and Gibson our 1,2,3 goal is to trade arenado we need a middle of the bat ozuna we need another middle of the order bat goldy we need another middle of the bat arenado. Mo literally broadcast exactly what he was going to do and did it except for the trading arenado he failed at that. I don’t keep up with what other GMS and POBO say but mo certainly didCusecards wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:29 amYesmoose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:12 amagreed.. actually it would be very odd if he WAS out front, making appearances.. etcAn Old Friend wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 09:38 amIt's not his job.
