Mo and his slight of the hand
I am sure Mo will do something of a slight of the hand in the upcoming trade deadline and convince fanes he made some fantastic deals. He is a lame duck GM AND shouldn't have any say in who comes or goes. it should be Bloom's call!

I can't remember what year (maybe 2017), but MO's only move was bringing in a player who was out for the year with an injury and was a pending UFA that we did not re-sign. I probably have the details wrong, but that always made me laugh.

Are you talking about Mark DeRosa? That was a June trade and back in like 2008/09/10 range. Traded for the guy and he got hurt right quick. I remember that much.Cardsfan1586 wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025 15:51 pm I can't remember what year (maybe 2017), but MO's only move was bringing in a player who was out for the year with an injury and was a pending UFA that Wwe did not re-sign. Yes, Mo traded Chris Perez and a PTBNL for Mark DeRosa in June 2009. He played 3 games for St. Louis, got hurt and missed nearly 3 weeks. Batted .228 for the Cardinals and signed with the Giants after the season, where he played 2 years and mostly sucked.passthebuck wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025 16:19 pmAre you talking about Mark DeRosa? Mo:
Slight of hand? Absolutely.
Sleight of hand, not likely.
