Army's TOP5 Christmas Present to ASOGG

Post by a smell of green grass »

See link below for a sneak-peak at Army's potential Christmas Present to ASOGG. Army will find out in November how big the present will be.

Not that I'm going to wish for disaster or anything, but I will be checking under the bed, on the top shelf of the closet, and all the good hiding places periodically. It's been a very long time since I received a TOP5.

If anyone finds my present before me, please let me know immediately.

I think I'm going to Dierberg's to get some Sushi today. It's actually pretty good.

I feel i am hurting smelly greenass and theoturdburgers feelings. I never ask for their pronouns. Lately i feel it might be warranted with how they act. We may need to see what they identify as... I am sure smelly green identifies as a [ablution] and theo as a turd sandwich not sure though

I applied for that job but was rejected for some reason....maybe it had something to do with the application being in Japanese.

Is your position that the blues should be trying to tank this upcoming season?

My position is that all teams have at least 1 TOP5 pick in recent history--except the Blues. They need one. We are not "locked and loaded" as many suggest. The Blues are missing key ingredients that can only be acquired via a TOP5 pick.

As far as how to get one, no team "tanks" on purpose. Losing just happens for the most part. If the Blues are bombing by November, I encourage a selloff of the older assets as the column states. At that point, we need to play for the future, not limp into the playoffs.

In the last 10 years, there have been 50 picks. They didn't all go to Buffalo.

StL, Boston, Florida, Minny, Washington, Tampa, Pitts, Calgary have not had a top 5 in 10 years. 5 of those teams have won the Cup in that time.

Maybe we should go out and re-sign Nail Yakupov to fulfill your odd desire for a top 5 talent

Yeah, if only we could redraft Erik Johnson all over again. Our beloved franchise would be set for a decade!
