KC 4 star DE chooses IN instead of Tigers
This was a guy MU wanted but missed on. His name is irrelevant as he is dead to us but IN? Seriously they lost to them? Oh well, stuff happens in recruiting.

The Hoosiers' new head coach is a real up-and-comer. In his first year at IU, 2024, he went 11-1 overall and 8-1 in the Big10, both program records.
Re: KC 4 star DE chooses IN instead of Tigers
So, ONE year of "success" is enough to get his commitment. MU and Drink have been an "up and comer" for several years. They've produced not only good records but have put many players in the NFL. Not sure what the thought process is but there is little argument to go to Indiana where the coach, if he is truly a fast riser, will not be there in a couple years.edwin drood wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 08:01 am The Hoosiers' new head coach is a real up-and-comer. Cignetti and company are going to have to keep after this young man. With à year of high school left, he's got a whole season to improve and reassess his major offers.

Probably a very $imple explanation. It’s the game today, luckily Drink and Co. seem to be pretty good at playing it.

I'm sure we could top anything Indiana pays although it's more likely they offered more than we think he's worth.Barksdale's People wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 11:59 am Probably a very $imple explanation. It’s the game today, luckily Drink and Co. seem to be pretty good at playing it.

The Hoosiers did not play Big Ten teams Oregon, Penn State, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota - all teams with winning records. Indiana beat up on the losers of the conterence - UCLA, Maryland, Northwestern, Nebraska, Washington, Michigan State, and Purdue. The only Big Ten team with a winning record they did beat was Michigan. Their non-conference schedule was a joke.edwin drood wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 08:01 am The Hoosiers' new head coach is a real up-and-comer. They finished up with losses to Ohio State and Notre Dame. They got very fortunate last year and that will not be the case in '25, as they will have to play at Iowa, at Penn State, and at Oregon. They also have to play Illinois. They do have another super soft non-conference schedule.

Indiana is not for real yet. They got exposed in a big way in the playoffs. They showed they didn't belong. We shall see whether this coach can deliver against a much tougher schedule.12xu wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 12:44 pmThe Hoosiers did not play Big Ten teams Oregon, Penn State, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota - all teams with winning records. IF they get into playing the games this fall and IN starts being exposed could always change his mind as kids are want to do. They were exposed in last couple of games and got beat up. Then if MU wins a game or two not expected to who knows?
Also this coach had one good year with the softest B!G schedule. Lets see how this year goes.

It’s a long time until Signing Day…
Re: KC 4 star DE chooses IN instead of Tigers
At this position, it's hard to see early playing time at Mizzou. We are loaded with underclassmen at both D-ends, creating very little opportunity to see the field. Did I want to see them at COMO- absolutely. They got paid more, or just saw an opportunity with less competition.
Same thing on the linebackers. We are pretty deep after the transfer portal pickups and with the NCAA granting another year of eligibility for another starter.
D back and O-line misses are the positions I think that appear to hurt the most. We lost out on two each to Tennessee and Illinois. Guess they wanted to play for the fat boys.

kid was afraid he was not good enough for the SEC so he went with the big 10
Re: KC 4 star DE chooses IN instead of Tigers
And Mizzou’s schedule was widely ranked as the easiest in the SEC in 2024. What’s your point?12xu wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 12:44 pmThe Hoosiers did not play Big Ten teams Oregon, Penn State, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota - all teams with winning records.
