The Phillies were one of Arenado's approved teams I think. Maybe could work out a 3 team deal to send Bohm somewhere else and give us a journeyman SP. A new Fedde for next year as we trade ours this year.
Good points.

why would anybody?

I do appreciate his passion and his clutch hits, but we have bigger and better fish to fry ....Pozo won't be missed.
The C position continues to bother me but Pozo is the least of the reasons why. There are other guys better than him, sure, but he's a fine backup.

What bothers me is that he's backing up Pages, who has no future. Should be Herrera full-time until he demonstrates he's just not going to get any better defensively.

Possible Helsley packaged with Arenado to either NY teams or Philadelphia. Cards will have to take back a contract to offset Arenado $$. Cash with Arenado will not work because luxury tax will be the main issue. Interesting to see if this develops.

Not going to dignify the question with an answer. It’s MO!

The Cardinals should be renamed The Bad News Bears (but not as funny).

One or both of Matz or Romero to the Yankees. Yankees only have one lh reliever. Both Matz and Romero are strikeout pitchers which they also are looking for. Cards have in the past looked at Chase Hampton. He underwent TJ surgery in February so should be ready next June most likely. He was one of their top pitching prospects but has been passed by at least 3 to 4 others so they should be willing to deal him.

I could see Helsley going to Dodgers for an outfielder and a pitcher. Don’t see them dealing Pages or one of their top prospects but Helsley will be worth a top 100 pick. My guess would be Sirota or Gavin Stone and Miller.

I could also see the Dodgers making a block buster deal with Cleveland getting Kwan and their closer.

This is probably more wishful thinking on my part, but….
Arenado and a reliever ( Maton/ Romero ) for Jones an OF’er.
Helsley and Nootbaar to the Dodgers for Miller/ Stone and a minor leaguer from their top 20.
Fedde will be DFA
Matz to NYM

Wow. Bold predictions. And assuming reasonable return I hope you are right.

I predict - disappointment. I don't think management/ownership has the balls to go all in an a rebuild year.

Fedde. Savannah Bananas

Miles. Rockford Peaches

I like a Nolan A and Romero package deal to the Phillies or Yanks

Would prefer to see Helmsley traded to AL

Move a catcher and Noot to a team needing a Lh bat off the bench and backup catcher. Not sure who that is.

Helsley, Matz, and possibly Maton or Romero will be dealt.

Nootbaar should be but will probably still be on the IL.

Donovan? Possibly at deadline or during the winter.

I predict Fedde is sent to the bullpen since he is untradeable.

The only non-free in the group is Nootbaar.
So not really a rebuild move.
Easily could be done and completely out of their character. So yeah agree
