Not sure what I just saw. Every outfielder makes every sliding highlight reel catch against us.

Kinda confusing when it doesn't happen.

This is the sh*t I'll never understand with Oli. Everyone in North America knew Fedde didn't have it when the game was 3-0 so why leave him out there for another inning to get torched and put the game out of reach barring a miraculous comeback.

The more I think about it, it’s time for malicious compliance.

We know Oli doesn’t want Mikolas or Fedde in the rotation. He’s hinted as much by his comments re: McGreevy. So since it’s Mo’s call: run Mikolas and Fedde out there every fifth day. 100 pitches. (They’re starters, after all.) When you get asked why they keep starting: “Mo wants me to start them.”

What’s he gonna do, Oli, fire you? With six weeks left as POBO? It’s like Art Howe said in Moneyball: manage the team in a way you can explain in job interviews next winter. Don’t let the lunatic in the bow tie drag you down.

I would’ve taken off too. I didn’t see any way that ball was not going to drop. You have to tip your cap. That was an incredible play.

..+1... Scott figured the ball would drop for a double, at least, and he was gonna score from 1B... Give the Rocks some credit... great catch...!

You never assume that it's going to be a hit. Take halfway to 2nd. Unless there are 2 outs, you don't run for home. Great catch or not. Gotta play fundamental baseball.

What he should do is pitch MM and EF in the same game, and no one else from the pen, thus you have 3 starters and fresh pen for the rest of the games.

After they trade Matz, Helsley, and Maton, they could indeed piggy back Fedde and Mikolas as #5 starters and let McGreevy be the #4 starter.

Agree with all that but he still could have pulled him in the 3rd after the first batter reached, or after the 2nd batter reached, but instead he waits until AFTER the game-ending blow is dealt and then pulls him 2 batters later. It's just stupid. He's done this sooooo many times. EVERYONE could see Fedde was once again getting shelled tonight. He did his job and let him start, but why not pull him when the game's still in reach.

Anyways... not sure why I'm surprised at this point. lol
