Re: OT: Ozzy
Love that guy, but let's be honest. We've all been kinda waiting for this news for like...30 years!
I didn't love all of his music, but he and Sharon definitely held the metal torch for many, many years and kept the industry alive when a lot of us thought it would disappear.
He was a talent, a legend and the greatest personality in Metal!

Re: OT: Ozzy
RIP, Ozzy. First saw Black Sabbath in concert in Frankfurt in 1978 (Offenbach am Main to be precise). I remember when a guy brought their first album to our English class in High School back in 1970; there's a backstory there I won't bore you guys with. Never watched his reality TV show, though, not my cup of tea. I've always liked good heavy metal but it's not something I listen to exclusively for long periods, I'd wind up in a bad place.

Re: OT: Ozzy
I was obsessed with Black Sabbath then the first few Ozzy albums as a kid. Lol, used to hang out with this girl at her moms apartment after high school and crank those albums. The Randy Rhoads era was esp influential at the time. Huge loss
Re: OT: Ozzy
I saw Ozzy with Sabbath in 78 or so. This unknown band named Van Halen opened. Then I saw his Blizzard of Oz tour with Randy Rhodes and Rudy Sarzo. I think Tommy Aldridge on drums. I like the Sabbath sound much better than the solo sound.

One of the best voices in rock.
And such a great performer who always thanked the crowd and appreciated them.
A true legend.
