This Weeks Jordan Kyrou rumor
It's not really a rumor. More of a trade pitch, but interesting. Kyrou to the Maple Leafs for next years first, Ethan Cowan and Nick Robertson.

Re: This Weeks Jordan Kyrou rumor
Yeah, because a Kyrou/Berube reunion is happening.

Ethan Cowan is an outstanding prospect and we would love him as a Blue. But this idea sets us back in the timing. Berube would rather have Cowan anyway. He is a Berube type player

Re: This Weeks Jordan Kyrou rumor
Berube is a big enough human to give him a second chance. I am not sure Kyrou is a big enough human to make it work this time.

Except this wouldn’t be a SECOND chance for Kyrou. If it wasn’t for Armstrong’s crush on Kyrou, Berube would’ve had him gone before he was fired. Kyrou would end up in Toronto over Berube’s dead body.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 20:00 pm Berube is a big enough human to give him a second chance. a) Kyrou's no trade, or
b) Berube's no player

Re: This Weeks Jordan Kyrou rumor
Kyrou is a more mature player and is more likely to win Berube's trust than when they were together in St. Louis. I like Kyrou and want him to stay, but it would nice to get payroll down, get a couple of good players that fit our future core in returnRed7 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 20:06 pmExcept this wouldn’t be a SECOND chance for Kyrou. Is Kyrou a Monty type player?

Why in the world would you be worried about getting payroll down?hockey jedi wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 21:40 pmKyrou is a more mature player and is more likely to win Berube's trust than when they were together in St. Louis. There’s a better chance of a Brett Hull/Mike Keenan reunion than Kyrou/Berube.

Re: This Weeks Jordan Kyrou rumor
He had his best year under Monty, so maybe. We need another year's data point. We moved Bolduc. I don't think we should move Kyrou unless we are getting a bonafide RHD which they are first going to try to envision within Mailloux. Even if Mailloux can't be the player the Blues need they aren't going to conclude that right away so I just don't see him being moved.

I just hate seeing that atoi in big games. If it happens again next year we will know the real answerseattleblue wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 23:13 pmHe had his best year under Monty, so maybe.
