Erick Fedde and Miles Mikolas since May 26th:
18 Starts
1 Win
10 Losses
65 IP (4.2 IP/S)
6.72 ERA
110 H
21 HR
28 BB
In the year of “Finding out about Youth”
We’ve been finding out how terrible a 33yr old and 36 yr old can be
AND still remain in a rotation that was actually in contention for the NL Central Title a few short weeks ago
Absolute complete incompetency by management to allow this to continue
Lets drive another 10k fans away from Busch the remainder of the year in get to single digits
AMAZING

Re: Fedde/Miles
I understand your frustration and agree that Fedde and Mikolas s u c k. The problem is that the Cards don't have two starters in their MiLB system ready to replace them. McGreevy is one, but I don't see another one ready to step in and cover those innings.Goldfan wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 21:52 pm Erick Fedde and Miles Mikolas since May 26th:

Literally anybody. And they might learn something while they do. I would rather watch some no-name kid from Memphis take those starts. They probably can't be any worse--might be a little better--and there's a snowball's chance that they might turn in some good innings and develop into something kind-of useful.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 22:13 pmI understand your frustration and agree that Fedde and Mikolas s u c k. Neither Miles or Fedde offer that.
Re: Fedde/Miles
Leaving Mozeliak there as a lazy (donkey), do-nothing lame duck for a season was gross malfeasance on BDW's part.
There should have been a clean break with Bloom in charge.

Re: Fedde/Miles
This season was never about runway for young players (at least not young pitcher). It was never about a reset. It was always ride or die with a bunch of pitchers on the wrong side of thirty.

Re: Fedde/Miles
Perhaps Matz being the other option but that was never going to happen with 25 million already invested in Mikolas and Fedde.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 22:13 pmI understand your frustration and agree that Fedde and Mikolas s u c k.
