OK, who predicted 11-4 in the last 15 games?

Come on, I know you're out there.

Instead we got 4-11 against the Pirates, Cubs, Nats, Braves and D-Backs.

And I admit that if I had been forced to make prediction then, I wouldn't have predicted 4-11.

I think I'm beginning to see reflections of this team via former Azizona Cardinals football coach Dennis Green's famous quote: "They were who we thought they were!"

Or Jim Mora's "Playoffs? Playoffs? You talking playoffs?"

Now watch them win 9 straight again.

On the other hand...

They have continually fallen behind early in last 15 games by a lot of runs

Recipe for failure

Starting pitcher ERA over 8

I don't believe anyone really thought they would make the playoffs. Especially with the ownership basically doing nothing but cost cutting. I assumed they'd be the same or slightly worse before the season started with the caveat that if one or two young guys to the next step they might improve a little. Alas that hasn't happened. I pretty disappointed in Walker, Gorman, Scott and Noot. Scott hasn't been awful, he just doesn't get on base and steal that much. From his rep I had hoped he'd be more of a Vince Coleman type. He can still grow though. They others are pretty disappointing though.

This teams major malfunction though is it's pitching. The offense is not great but it can be good. The pitching though is sucktastic.

I recall several CTers back in April predicting 90 wins and more.

Just needed some players to step up and some pitchers to be adequate. Unfortunately little of that happened.
