In their last 15 and even their 'ace' is inconsistent.
I mean if dopey is not trying to trade who he can, he needs to resign and turn it over to Bloom now.
Hesley, Arenado, Matz, Fedde (if anyone wants to take a flyer), Romero, Maton, etc. Kick the tires on Nootbar.
Mikolas wont even get you salary relief. Need a stiff for innings. So... Gray, has a NTC, but see if you can get salary relief on him, if a team is willing. Walker is at his low, might as well keep him unless someone gives a ridiculous offer. Gorman is nit tradeable. If Scott gets better with the bat he has good value as a CF and is young enough to keep around. Catcher has decisions. At 1B, Contreras is a decent hitter, but not much in trade value, you need a few vets. Emergency catcher too. Herrera can hit and is cheap so you keep him unless wowed.
Donovan is only someone to part with if you get an overpay. You need a veteran bat in the lineup who is cost controlled and is versatile.

Donovan is in the lineup now and it doesn’t seem to be helping.RichieRichSTL wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 17:55 pm In their last 15 and even their 'ace' is inconsistent.

Re: 4-11
I said before the season this franchise is trending down towards last place in this division.
Thank God the Pirates can't hit at all.

I get it. You have to retain some veteran talent, otherwise you are the White Sox or Rockies I mean you cant get rid of all your decent players. He's not a franchise player, but he's an inexpensive, versatile young vet that can hit.45s wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 17:59 pmDonovan is in the lineup now and it doesn’t seem to be helping.RichieRichSTL wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 17:55 pm In their last 15 and even their 'ace' is inconsistent.
