Dodgers wouldn't

I agree with two previous posters.
I would.
Dodgers wouldn't.
RH batter, and a good one

Depends on how badly they'd want Helsley (and pending FA isn't an issue for the Dodgers who could ink him w/the spare change in their other pair of pants).
Noot is also a nice addition, still young enough to have a nice career if he ever stays healthy and could replace Pages.
Dodgers can more than afford to lose some offense.
I'm not in on just giving Helsley away for a prospect who likely won't amount to an impact player.
Given the Dodgers smart coaching, they could fix Helsley and he could be the piece that helps them win another WS.
I'd ask for Pages in that package.
Re: Helsley + Noot for A. Pages...would ya?
Dodgers won’t add to the current roster by subtracting from the current when they can use their strong minor league system to accomplish that. Adding Noot and Helsley would strengthen them but losing Pages would weaken them. They have four outfielders listed in the top 100 overall prospects ready starting in 2027. They would be willing to deal from them. That also better fits the Cards timeline.

Would love to have another Page, but think kyace is right about needing to select from their 4 good OF prospects.kyace wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:49 pm Dodgers won’t add to the current roster by subtracting from the current when they can use their strong minor league system to accomplish that. Btw, Pages would fit the Cards timeline just fine at 24 yrs. old.

That's why I shot for the moon, knowing they have that pipeline of OF'ers coming soon (plus a bottomless payroll they can use to sign K.Tucker).kyace wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:49 pm Dodgers won’t add to the current roster by subtracting from the current when they can use their strong minor league system to accomplish that. Disagree though about about unproven major league prospects "better fitting the Cards timeline", Pages is a perfect piece needed for this OF.
I want proven major league talent w/years of control for Helsley, not a prospect who could become nothing in MLB.

I would, but there's no way that LA would.
Their fans would publicly execute their executives for that, and they'd be right to do it.

Not so sure about that strummer.
Helsley is a two time allstar closer (any doubt the smart Dodger coaches could have him fixed in about a day, just throw more offspeed/changeups!) and they desperately need backend help or they're NOT winning another WS.
I also think they'll go BIG for K. TUCKER who is a big upgrade over Pages!
And as I said, they can also easily re-up Helsley.
Plus have Noot as a fourth OF'er.
Fair trade (IMO).

Re: Helsley + Noot for A. Pages...would ya?
Why not include our Pages so as not to rile their base?
Re: Helsley + Noot for A. Pages...would ya?
Zero chance the Dodger would go for that.
Plenty of ways for them to add to their BP without giving up A. Pages.
If I was the STL POBO (which would be an improvement over the current one), if I was shopping Helsley and Mootbaar to LA, I would demand N/A, Helsley, and Mootbaar for De Paula, Sirota, and Swan.

Does LA need a closer?
Re: Helsley + Noot for A. Pages...would ya?
Dodgers should go after Clase of Guardians, if in fact they (Clev) are entertaining offers. Much better than Helsley.
IF Dodgers heard from MO Ran, the asking price would immediately go up for Pages. Noot is a throw in and Dodgers really have zip use for his skills. Would expect Dodgers want to spice up the deal - ask for Torres, Saggese, or Harris (Springfield).

Re: Helsley + Noot for A. Pages...would ya?
Okay we won't get my dream catch for Hesley + Noot
BUT
The Dodgers are for sure sniffing around on Helsley etal:
per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, who reports that L.A. has inquired on Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase, Pirates closer David Bednar, Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley and Orioles closer Felix Bautista (in addition to previously reported interest in Minnesota’s Jhoan Duran and Griffin Jax).
