Has the directive come down to lose on purpose?
The past two games both pitchers have been throwing meatballs right down the middle of the plate. Is something rotten in Denmar- er St Louis? I've never seen this many pitches right over the heart of the plate, especially two games in a row. Now they can be sellers at the deadline without anyone questioning their motives.

Good grief, I know you're frustrated but be serious.

I don’t think they are losing on purpose. They just aren’t very talented and care just about as much as their POBO at this point.CCard wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 19:50 pm The past two games both pitchers have been throwing meatballs right down the middle of the plate. No player is going to tank and cost themselves money by making themselves look bad just so the owners can sell that’s tin foil hat crazyCCard wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 19:50 pm The past two games both pitchers have been throwing meatballs right down the middle of the plate. If they were to tank rest of season, their best draft position for 2026 would be at #10 overall, if I'm not mistaken.

Not a directive, but Oli and Moe’s message has been clear for a few years now. Losing is okay as long as you learn something and winning creates unnecessary pressure.

Lack of talent for some for Sonny my guess is he’s a creature of habit they always talk about he is a routine oriented guy and any disruption of it can cause problems and the all star break is a major disruption of routine. And players aren’t going to tank and cost themselves money for ownership fedde and MM are free agents you really think they would tank for ownership and cost themselves millions in free agency for a team that isn’t even going to resign them lol not a chanceCCard wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 20:06 pmNothing like that has ever happened in sports.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 20:03 pmNo player is going to tank and cost themselves money by making themselves look bad just so the owners can sell that’s tin foil hat crazyCCard wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 19:50 pm The past two games both pitchers have been throwing meatballs right down the middle of the plate.
