The problem will be unloading contracts to teams not wanting to pay these underachieving players. That will be the whole key as you know Dewitt isn't eating money.
And getting them to waive no trade clauses

My prediction for this series was 1-2.
It appears it may have been unduly optimistic.

Trade Helsley and Noot and anybody else who isn't in the long term plans.

Well at least we have Mikolas going for us tommorow. That’s something exciting to look forward to. Excuse me now as my dinner guest are due. Looking forward to an engaging conversation with Santa and the Easter Bunny tonight!

1-5 road trip
Team looks lost. Gray not sharp. Mikolas tomorrow. In Colorado no one. Libby one game. Don't look good

I'm in Columbus. At first, I was ticked that the small bears are on. Now, I'm ticked that the Savannah Nanners aren't on.

I’m watching the game on GameDay, Fox has the stinking Cubs on in my area, the Cardinals’ hitters are either taking pitches right down the middle, or when they do swing they can’t hit them! Arizona could put the ball on a tee, and the Cardinals would still not get a hit! Awful display coming out of the break. How can a whole team go so cold all at once? That’s including the pitchers who can’t get anyone out!

Pitch to contact guys are not for this era of MLB. Unfortunately that's how St Louis drafts and develops their weak arms. Cardinals are done.

It’s not the players giving up. They have to watch their top pitcher struggling tonight and the manager won’t go to the pen early.
The relievers are thinking .. yeah Oli doesn’t want to burn the pen ! So we now trail by 5 runs and he won’t use us .
The bullpen arms are the team's only trade candidates of value. You aren't going to risk getting them hurt before the deadline.

I guess we should be thankful that Marte isn’t playing this series although I don’t see how it could be any worse.

This level of play is completely unacceptable.

Cat out of the bag. Gray needs to go six if possible.
At this point ... why? Just let him pitch the whole game and give up 27 runs. Who really cares? This team does not appear to care.

I am just lucky to see it all collapse live and in person!

Yep - has the makings of 8-0

OTH - keep seeing articles that ATL might be willing to trade Murphy to free up $ for free agents- $15M/year for I believe 3 years looks enticing.
