C Alex Birge California .231/.415/.582 with Cal this year 12 HR 40 BB-51 K in 178 PA. He put up pretty good summer league numbers the last 3 years.

RHP Bobby Olsen Villanova Ugly college numbers (6.01 ERA in 176 IP in his college career) but good summer league numbers (2.96 ERA in 76 IP). Olsen pitched 3 years at Brown, 1 year at Nebraska, and 1 year at Villanova. This past year he had a 6.19 ERA with 59 K’s in 56.2 IP for Villanova.

I guess Doyle wouldn't have gone for the FULL 75% floor like Bremner did. Angels really wanted the max savings to sign something else.

I mean, I can at least understand their logic in it even if I don't agree with it. The extra $1.2M that the Angels saved by passing on Kade Anderson could be used elsewhere. I have to imagine Liam Doyle wasn't willing to do 75% of the slot value.
