Is Illinois this years Indiana?

Lots of returning talent and about of good of a schedule as we could ask for. It's not as easy as Indiana's schedule last year, but I'm not sure that schedule they had could be topped. The Illinois fan in me that is used to bad football keeps telling myself not to get my hopes too high. But it's gonna be a fun year and it's time to expect a good team with the way Bielema has built this program.

good points...
Hopefully the new receivers develop. The article made a good point that itll be hard to replace Bryant and Franklin.
Any thoughts on why McCray decided to transfer? Was it just $$? Is Fagan going to return at full health?

Yeah its definitely hard to predict how we replace the production of Bryant/Franklin. They both made big catches and Bryant especially have a lot of YAC. I think Collin Dixon is a guy that takes a bigger role. He showed a lot of power in his run after the catch. The new guy they got from West Virginia is a proven receiver, just gotta get him to gel with Altmyer. Elzy is the big question mark. He's got the size/talent, just need him to produce now.
Everything I read on McCray was partially money, but also playing for his hometown team being that he's from Georgia. I think if he was the definite starter here that maybe would've made a difference. But he was going to share carries with Feagin/Laughery, so there's no telling how the carries would've split up. If you remember, he was probably the #3 back behind those two when everybody was healthy. His loss will hurt if we have any injury issues. But if all stay healthy, I think we'll be just fine. I know it's a big IF considering Feagin's last two years.
