Of course not…but read the thread. Stan Musial hit an extra-inning HR SEVENTY YEARS AGO and therefore some folks want them to play this thing like it’s The Most Important Game Ever.
This was important when every game wasn’t on TV/internet, no highlight clips on YouTube, no interleague play, etc. Fans see players from every team and both leagues whenever they want. Paul Skenes has faced Aaron Judge before. It’s not a novelty; let it die.

Baseball has evolved….and the changes have rendered the game to a contrived exercise
Before free agency…..there truly were A L guys and N L guys ….each league had an identity
Now an A L guy in 24, is a N L guy in 25
This was compounded by interleague play…….the only thing unique about the current game is the silliness…..
I watched very little of it……but I respect those who are interested
