Yes, he handed in a trade request. A request that went nowhere for two years until the Blues traded him as a FA to be during a season where the Blues weren’t making the playoffs.

So is the point here that the Blues might one day trade Kyrou when it suits their needs and timeline?

Because I would agree. But that isn’t saying much considering that describes every player.

Just not seeing the parallel you are trying to make considering the Tarasenko example you keep going back to would have the Blues trading Kyrou circa 2031.

I don’t think anyone here has ever said they don’t believe the Blues were or have ever shopped Kyrou. This thread and its twin on the front page pretty obviously seem to come down to statements you said were made rather than whether or not the Blues have ever considered trading Kyrou.

Feel free to show otherwise. Other than that it seems as if the Blues will treat Kyrou like everyone else with a contract and keep him until it suits their needs best by doing otherwise.

Kyrou's name has been on the block for quite some time, though my opinion is it became much less prominently listed, if even listed at all, on said block when his NTC kicked in.

I suspect most of the internet speculation since then is simply because people haven't caught up to the fact that the window to move him has by and large closed.

But anything beyond the fact that he was being shopped seems to be just internet gossip at this point.

It doesn't make a lot of sense for an agent to leak that a player would accept a deal to a specific team unless they know a deal is close and they are trying to pressure it over the finish line. It REALLY doesn't make sense for them to make their client appear overly enthusiastic or excited to move. That's a good way to get the player hated by their current team if they aren't ultimately moved.

Armstrong probably talked to 10-20 teams about trading all types of players as very few are untouchable, but I want one specific where he says he is trying to trade him.
