I don't think the "best broadcast in the league" is ever gonna happen on FanDuel. If I miss the first 15 minutes of a game, I can't even go back to start from the beginning. I can't pause and fast forward through commercials. I have to listen to that Tullamore Dew song way too many times. Rivers and Warmann are still around while Datt is gone. I'm thinking about ESPN plus as the replacement.

Kerber and Vitale will make all games unbearable. Zimmerman made a horrible decision and he will spin it often. Bottom line….two bad announcers and fans expect better, but won’t get it.

Whatever dude. It's a hockey forum and I happen to think those two are some of the worst announcers around. We're stuck with them now. Your opinion means zero to me.

To be fair here Zimmerman is a business side guy giving a completely business side answer to a cost cutting move.

Mozeliak gives the same type of answers but he is on the player management side.

Both insincere for sure, but it’s a lot more insulting to our intelligence when you try to twist not signing a single FA for example as all part of the plan or a way to get better.

I don't follow baseball anymore but I think the decision to let John Kelly go is very short-sighted. Either Kerbs or Joey will have time off, like both Joey needed last season. Wait til we get some amateurs subbing for either of these two-especially Kerber's role in all this. A broadcast is also entertainment, and I don't mind either of the two remaining announcers because they are a combination of effective and fun. But I predict the broadcasts will be very (bleep) with fill ins. The hockey game is incidental to the broadcast, and I bet the decision to let go a professional announcer who loves the city and the team will be sorely missed when Mr. or Ms.Boring Generic is called to fill in. I feel bad for us fans.

If they must cost save and simulcast, how about a rotation of Kerbs, Kelly, Joey and Jamie?

I’m going to respectfully disagree with netboy. Any time the Blues (or any team) has a national game, what do some of us write? This broadcast is hard to listen to.because the PBP guy is too boring and is rooting for the other team…..or they put on some DEI hire female who is annoying.
FanDuel had a homer in Kelly who was a local institution. No matter how good the team, the PBP guy and his sidekick color man keeps us focused on the game and applies analysis, I.e. entertains the listener. I can’t wait to read the criticisms when Kerber or Vitale/Rivers is absent. The team will be looking for a better announcer and JK will be who knows where.

What else is the guy going to say? Of course it’s a cost-cutting move. The fans largely loved JK and Pang and then both are let go when their contracts expire, only to be replaced by a radio team. This is clearly about saving money. Zimmerman still has to try and put a positive spin on it.
