Was perusing through HF boards when i Can accross an MTL fan that stated the following,

"Per McCagg, Armstrong apparently offered Kyrou for Mailloux swap, declined by HuGo w counter offer of Bolduc for Mailloux"

"Probably but makes sense. Armstrong may be trying to unload Kyrou and Hughes may not want a potential cancer on the team."

"Wouldn't even be surprised. Thats how bad Kyrou is".


Its just insane how easily they convinced themselves that bolduc is the better player, That kyrou was a cancer and army was trying to dump him for mailli and that they wanted bolduc instead.

I'm not the biggest Kyrou fan nor Army fan, but no way Army offered Kyrou up one for one for Mailloux. Yes Kyrou ain't even in Shanny's universe, but Mailloux isn't the next Pronger which is the only way you think trading Kyrou for Mailloux makes sense.

Man, I made the mistake once of going to the Avs board in Reddit. Every comment was blaming the refs or a comment about "well, if you count the goalposts hit, we'd be up 3-2 right now instead of down 2-1" or something stupid like that. At a certain point you would think a fanbase would realize that disallowed goals don't count, goalposts aren't recorded on the scoreboard, and the refs suck across the league for every team.

I'm a Habs fan. They've have some lean years lately. And the 20/21 season was just weird. So yeah, they're hyped up and finally have some good pieces. And now the fans are getting into the "Dags and a 3rd" territory.

Kryou is a risk--just based on Armstrong's action if nothing else. Who signs a player for 8 years, and then puts him in the trade fishbowl with 6 years remaining? Answer: NO GM DOES THAT.

Given that Kyrou is a risk, no team is willing to take Kyrou off Army's hands for 6 years.

Face it. Army hands out long-term contracts to the wrong guys. We are stuck with Kyrou and Buchnevich for 6 more years. Just thank Army.

The other factor playing into this is Montreal's needs. They have great young forwards to fill out Line 1.

Montreal needed a GREAT 2nd or 3rd line player, one with defensive qualities. Bolduc is exactly what they needed.
