If you mean Stan Kronke, I don't believe he has any financial interest in the Dodgers. Primary owner is Mark Walter. Others include Magic Johnson.

ESPN listed him as the 180th prospect so he should have gone closer to the 5-6th round. That slot money was around $250k, so my guess is teams knew he would not take that so he slipped deep into the draft.

why would Sam sign with Dodgers for small bonus when he will make more than that as a backup QB at MU. With only a handful of innings in Three Years would be foolish. Has a plus plus fastball and deceptive motion which could translate in MLB but very common for guys to be drafted, not sign and wait for a great year with results and get drafted much higher for huge bonuses.

everyone is handing QB starter job to Beau but what IF Sam who throws a very nice pass and excellent athlete wins the job? Eli is in a great position with a kid who could be better than both already on team as a true freshman who will have time to learn and develop.

BTW in watching Beau's limited tape very impressed and think he will blossom as a starter and do some great things for MU FB. IF he does and Sam is only backup he will have yet another year to recover from TJ and could have incredible spring dedicated to only baseball and then really launch his career there. then you will have the kid ready to step up as backup or even push Beau in FB with a year to mature, get stronger and learn the system.
