If you believe they were fooled, or goaded or somehow sucked into it on their own end then yeah....I'd be very nervous right now.
There might not be certainty on all of this, but there certainly is likely hood.
Pretty much the same with the rest of it. The staff is either good and accurate and have done the right work on most of the players or they have missed their assignments and evaluations and have blown most of their picks.
DA and his entire staff will be the reason this team goes far or not. I am liking the odds for a very good run and i am not nervous.
Answer: Montreal wanted Bolduc for the same reasons that the fans love him. Army has been attempting to land an elite RHD since Petro left. There is. generally no way to ever get an elIte RHD when you draft after 10. So because of that circumstance, Bolduc is gone. Bolduc is a casualty of not having a TOP 5 pick.
You guys make this so easy.
Easy. Keep trying.
It's one of the hardest positions to fill in the NHL because of its scarcity.
Even having a top 5/10 pick doesn't guarantee it.

And the odds are just as bad for an elite Center. Anybody remember how ugly the Kevin Hayes experiment was?
Also what does bringing Kevin Hayes in to be a bottom-6 center have to do with acquiring an "elite center" ? Because no one, including Doug Armstrong, ever suggested Hayes was here to man the top line. Another nonsense argument?

Haha I know and I usually don't. For some reason the stupidity of this particular argument got me. Would probably be wise to just add them to the foe list. But that only helps if people don't quote them, but I just screwed that up lol. Sigh.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 12:35 pmIm not telling you how to handle your Blues Talk forum etiquette but your trying to reason with a moron who only seeks attention. They traded a guy drafted 17th for a guy most experts think will be a top 4 RHD and you keep crying about a top 5 pick is required for, while also being pissy that they aren't trying. You counterdict yourself all of the time while remaining pompous, and it is comedy gold. They also used their first round pick at #19 to draft a player that is already in the Athletic top 30 prospects.

The Blues traded Bolduc for the 4th best RHD on the Canadiens, and the Canadiens have had some time to evaluate all of them. Is this a calling card for an elite RHD? Doesn't sound like it to me. Maybe he will be. We shall see.27-12-16 wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 14:15 pm They traded a guy drafted 17th for a guy most experts think will be a top 4 RHD and you keep crying about a top 5 pick is required for, while also being pissy that they aren't trying. Many BluesTalkers say that we don't need a TOP5 pick, but if you look at Army's actions you will see that it is his priority to get positions that typically require a TOP5 pick (Centers and RHD).
Blues fans should be watching Army closely to see just how successful Army is at acquiring the TOP5 postions (Center and RHD). He's been trying for a long time, and we are still empty-handed.
