There is no making up the stupidity of the manager, he says it all with his moves every day.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:36 pmIt’s almost a written rule, much Jess an unwritten rule, that you ride the hot hand n any industry.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:34 pmLittle league manager.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:42 amKeeps everyone happy. No way he was going to make it through a season with at least one IL stint.82birds wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:39 pmplaced on 10-day ILEyelids64 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:04 pmHappy to see Noot draw pine today.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:40 am So Pozo and Gorman both have good games yesterday and they get benched for a AAA middle infielder who they are starting in LF and a backup catcher with a .597 OPS?

Oli would have stopped the DiMaggio hit streak.

Because they lose either way...it makes no difference.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:52 amI get that you're joking, but we scored 6 runs and those two were responsible for half of them. Even if Grey has a good start, our offense has been pretty anemic lately. Not sure why they would be so quick to take a guy who can change a game with one swing of the bat for a guy with a career 59 OPS?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:46 amAnd they still lost, again! So your point is?
This team sucks no natter what garbage from their roster they put out there!

3-7 in July. Had a 500 run in June.
Do you see a pattern?

Rule has always been The Bat Plays.

That's what Denton eluded to in his earlier post.
There goes any trade value he had, yet another trip to the IL.

TARP off the field
PLAY BALL!

Yet many still want to defend Oli.........and yes Oli makes out the lineup, not Mo and his gang.![]()
He told Bernie that on KMOX redbaron, said he sets the lineup and Mo the roster.

yep, given the goal of the season, this is inexcusable if NG is healthy and ready to go etc Hard to imagine this is just oli on his own saying, na, wont play that Gorman guy that this season is being wasted for lol. If it is, shouldnt the GM fire him for failing to work iaw organization goals.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:40 pmThere is no making up the stupidity of the manager, he says it all with his moves every day.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:36 pmIt’s almost a written rule, much Jess an unwritten rule, that you ride the hot hand n any industry.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:34 pmLittle league manager.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:42 amKeeps everyone happy. VSII w/the sliding catch

Victor chases that one down.

Re: GDT : Cards vs. Braves (7/13) ~ 1:15pm CDT
Lineup construction and playing time aside the biggest issue (and there are may) I have with Oli is the culture tone he sets.
Yesterday was a perfect example. They lose, Oli says sometimes that's baseball in the post game media deal.
Listen to Helsley and what does he say yesterday....(paraphrasing) that's just baseball...two feet the other way and its a double play ball.
That's the culture now....lose and it's "just baseball"...win and it's because they grinded so hard and Oli's staff really had them prepared. Thats Oli talk.
The reality yesterday for Helsley is the 0-2 pitch to Profar in the 9th was dreadful. Dreadful. No other description. That pitch was way to hittable at 0-2. Baseball is hard...I get it but there were literally dozens of other approaches for Helsley to take with Profar at 0-2...
But hey, that's baseball!
