I did some research for you lucky chaps.
Cam Fowler was drafted 2 spots ahead of Jaden Schwarz in 2010. Anaheim, Calgary, St Louis was the sequence.
At the beginning of March, St Louis had the worse record, but over the last 25 games, the 3 ended up with virtually the same record. The Ducks lost the last 4 games in a row. Calgary lost 3 of the last 4. St Louis lost 2 of 4.
Moral of the story:
If St louis had lost 2 more games in 2010, Cam Fowler would have been ours for 1000 games. St Louis selected Schwartz.
Who is the next Cam Fowler?

Jaden Schwarz was a key part in the Blues one and only...Stanley Cup!! Especially in the comeback game against Winnipeg.
And what is amazing. Fowler is now a Blue!!! Solidifying the D. Man, the Ducks blew it. They could've had a Cup winner in Schwarz. Dummies.

Schwartz led the team in goals during the cup run. Blues have been nailing these mid first round picks for 15 years.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 20:59 pm I did some research for you lucky chaps.

Everything sounds really spectacular about the Blues and their draft picks, until you look 1 minute closer. The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 21:48 pmSchwartz led the team in goals during the cup run. Barbashev - Given to Vegas for nothing and they win a Cup--unless you consider Zach Dean something (Did I spell his name correct?)
Oshie - Given to Capitals for nothing and they win a Cup -- The names of nothing: Troy Brouwer, Pheonix Copley, and Garrett Pilon
Schwartz - Let go to Seattle for nothing
And now Bolduc. Anybody want to wager that Montreal wins a Cup soon?
The St Louis mid-round picks are an absolute BOON for teams looking to complete their roster for a Stanley run.
Meanwhile, the Ducks kept their prize for 1000 games.

I agree with this but still think Lindstein will play in the NHL before JiricekSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 10:31 amI doubt Lindstein is fully physically ready for the NHL. He’s played 3 seasons of pro hockey in Sweden and done well given his age so he’s peobably pretty close to ready from a skills standpoint and where his game is at but he might need another year or so to adjust to the increased physicality of the N.A. game and gain some strength. They are just trying to space those rookie years out properly. Army last year at camp as well as a couple guys like Al that the guy that was surprising the most with how elite he was this early was Lindstein. I remember the exact conversation being about Bolduc and Dvorsky and if they would make the roster. And the question was rerouted towards Lindstein. And he's done nothing since to say that assessment isn't accurate. I think the only reason you don't see him up this year is because they are trying to get another year of contracts thru before they start making the tough decisions. Afterall, there's no rush and when you start factoring in 32 year old vet vs 20 year old defensemen, it get's hard to see how the rookie is going to outplay that person.noted wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 20:59 pmI would bet heavily on Lindstein being NHL ready before JiricekZizzle1297 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 12:51 pm At this point the only way Id acquire Bo Bryam is if the contract price and asset price wasnt to high. Cam/ Byram
Tucker/ Mailloux
Then next year NOT resign CAM

Byram/ Mailloux (if he progesses nicely this season)

Oh absolutely. My guess is he’s about 2 years ahead of Jiricek in terms of NHL readiness projection.noted wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 09:25 amI agree with this but still think Lindstein will play in the NHL before JiricekSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025 10:31 amI doubt Lindstein is fully physically ready for the NHL. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lindstein sees some games with the Blues this season. 11 different d-men played at least 1 game for the Blues last season and that’s pretty typical.

Barbashev - zach.dean is projected to be a middle 6 center. Jamie thinks he will see a call up this year.
Oshie- was having off ice issues and not showing up to prwctice om time or still drunk. Dont get me wromg i loved him but army wasnt going to sacrifice another rister player with the cap crunch. Yes nothing came out of it.
Schwartz- was tampered with. Seattle.tool dunn then om day one of free agency first thing in morming he signed with seattle...not much army coukd do there.
Bolduc- im really sick of your crybaby bull[shirt]. Bolduc had a good halfseason and he was the lesser of all our other wingers. Snuggy fresh jumped ahead of him, dvorsky is a center who would jump ahead of him this season. Looks like carbenue will be a bettet version of bolduc and might make team out of camp.
Bolduc got traded cause ee needed a young top 4 capable dman on the right side. And we did so go cry in your car
