60 percent chance of storms beginning around three pm. Could be heavy. Chances we play are too low for zero.
Do we do a double header tomorrow with Skenes. Worst thing that could happen is we get rained out. Momentum killer.
This is what we talked about yesterday BDog.
From KMOV:
1pm - 8pm
scattered to heavy thunderstorms
Only hope is they exit the St. Louis metro and move south by 3-4 pm so they can get the game in.
With the ASB there's no need to rush for the teams to get to the next city and Braves all-stars are going home to Atl anyway.
The area is in a trough of Low pressure, a stalled front. This creates a path of ieast resistance for storms. This trough boundary is nearing STL from the west.
I smell rain.

Re: I smell rain.
Hope you are right sikeston! Taking my son to the game today. I haven't been to a game since 2023. Hoping we don't have to sit at Busch all day.

Radar shows a cell coming to the city around noon. The big mess west of town seems to be staying west to north.rockondlouie wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:04 amStill no bright sunshine!sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 09:15 amActually that may help. Many and umps should have evening flights booked to fly home for the break? Maybe they do all they can to keep playing.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 06:52 am Chances of rain at game time is 50 percent. Look for lightening delays. SPC has STL on the border of a sweeter spot of moisture. Several clusters of storms may ride the stalled front from SW Missouri north east to STL area.
How long will baseball wait it out today.

Given it's the ASB and no one has to rush to catch a flight, they should stay as long as it takes to play this game

I dont understand this response. Players aren't rushing off for the only family vacation time they have in the summer... with kids out of school? Last day before vacation is often a "get out of Dodge" day. Example NA still lives in SoCal ? He wouldnt plan to fly out tonight after a day game, to home or meet at some vacation location, rather than just sit in STL?rockondlouie wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:33 am82 degrees outside my Chesterfield office so not very hot, cloudy too!sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 11:26 amRadar shows a cell coming to the city around noon. Plenty of time for Vacation after the season, they'll stay as late as possible to get this game it.Clubmaker2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 12:50 pmI dont understand this response. Oh there was rain.

We waited it out as long as we could and just got home. Of course the game is starting back up at 6:30 CT.
