Would Mo dare fire Oli at end of season ?

Post by ramfandan »

That thought crossed my mind . Oli has 2026 remaining on his deal but could Mo dismiss Oli ..trying to make him a scapegoat for the team ...
plus saying he did it to give Chaim Bloom his pick of who he wants managing the team. Another angle is that could be Mo's thank you to Oli .. pay him for his final contract year and Oli can take a year's vacation .

Mo could lay low and let Bloom decide Oli's return or not but it could be a devious move by Mo to do that . Heck , the guy fired Shilt . Would he dare fire Oli ?
I don't put anything past Mo in this organization.

He's had plenty of reason to do it already and hasn't, no reason to change on your way out the door.

If Oli gets fired, Bloom will do it. I actually believe that if the Cardinals go with a different manager that they will try to keep Oli in the org.

Not sure why he’d do that since Oli outperformed expectations last year and is doing it again this year.

It’s popular on this anti-Cardinals forum to hate on the manager whether his name is TLR, Matheny, Shildt, or Oli. The posters on here will always hate the manager and want him fired no matter who it is. That’s why Yadi and Albert should NEVER become the Cardinals manager.

Bring it knuckle draggers.

Mozeliak is gone at the conclusion of the 2025 season. That decision will be left up to Bloom and DeWitt. I'm not a big Marmol fan but this pitching staff I'm not sure anybody could have done much better.

This makes a lot of sense, and I’d actually be fine with it. Oli brings value to the organization, I’m just not sure this is the best role.

I think he’d probably be valuable as a minor league assistant coach. Players like him and respond to him, particularly younger guys. This stage is just too much for him, especially with a garbage roster.

I loved TLR. It’s obvious he was the one behind the success post-Jocketty. I liked Matheny, until the stories came out about him being a proponent of hazing Jordan Hicks.

I never really liked Schildt, but Mo did him dirty.

Oli sucks. Mo sucks. BDW sucks.

I agree with you on avoiding Yadi/Pujols for our next manager. We need to bring in the next TLR. A seasoned coaching veteran, then ease in Yadi/Pujols on the coaching staff.

No knuckle dragging here, just opinions from a lifelong Cardinal fan.

Anti-Cardinals forum? Explain.

(Agree that Molina/Pujols should not manage this team.)

Mo?

No, that would be acknowledging his THIRD horrible managerial hiring.

But C. Bloom?

100% and Cardinals Nation can only hope he does it.

No way you can keep Oli who has the stank of Mo and this horrible period all over him.
