One of the most frustrating losses of the season.

5 runs is enough to win if you have somewhat decent pitching. Cards do not have that.

If only oli had gone to the bullpen sooner

Need to win that game.
BP was spectacular and gift wrapped it for the offense.
Scott can’t get picked off in that situation.
Braves are horrible especially in close games.

Preferably in the first inning.

This team misses Herrera’s bat in the lineup.
Not only got his hits but the HR’s too.

He bunted the runners over with Pages which was a great move.
If he does it with Noot they tie it up and probably win.
I don’t care if Noot is hitting 5th he stinks with RISP.
In fact he stinks period.

Scott getting picked off was dagger in the heart. Pop ups all over the place moves no runners. Cardinals own that franchise!

Double digits runs in 3 innings? Wow, you'd suck even worse than marmol.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 20:50 pmThe Oli obsession is so weird.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 20:41 pmBecause he's a [fork]ing dumb[ash]. All of you like to rant about how every Cards manager overuses his bullpen, but my god, you guys would pull every single pitcher immediately at any sign of trouble and completely burn out your bullpen in the first month of the season.
You can't pull a starter in the 3rd inning unless he's giving up double digit runs. You will burn out your entire bullpen for the remainder of the series trying to cover 8 innings in 1 game.

No kidding if you give up double digits in 3 might as well leave them in at that point. I think it depends on the moves depends on the braves pitcher if he was pitching had good stuff maybe you leave him in there and try to get another inning or two out of him. But the braves pitcher was very obviously in trouble I even said it in the game thread before cards came back the good news is their pitcher doesn’t have it and the cards could throw some runs up on him. Oli should have managed That game to win early seeing their pitcher was vulnerableJuanAgosto wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 23:15 pmDouble digits runs in 3 innings? I agree. But oli only follows his script. There is no varying from the pregame plans.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 23:23 pmNo kidding if you give up double digits in 3 might as well leave them in at that point. He did not manage to win tonight. He managed to save the bullpen for some reason when we're two days removed from the All-Star break.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025 23:27 pmI agree.
