Our nostalgia has caused us to look past the quality in the booth.

Kerber is easily the better announcer and play by play, I just hope his work translates to tv smoothly.

For years I kept the tv volume on mute with the radio calls up.

Kelly is easily the last person in the building to know what's going on and when he's paid to share that with others, it's a bad recipe only saved by that he's a nice guy and has a name that opens doors.

Kerbs is overrated.

Was not a fan of Kelly when he was with the Avs but later realized it was because of McNabb. That guy was awful, up there with Drew Remenda. But I ended up really liking Kelly. I dont mind Vitali. I like Rivs as a dude but not as an announcer so wont miss him duing the games. Pre and post game is fine.

Shocking news and pretty brutal way for such a long relationship to end. His dad Dan Kelly was THE greatest too, this just feels bad way for the Kelly thing to end. Similar to the way it ended bad with Ken Wilson maybe, without knowing the details. Gonna mull at softball tonight. I basically agree with kimzey

Let's not blame Fanduel for this, the BLUES have 100% rights to have a say on who does their games. Same with Cardinals.

We saw this play out when fox sports offered Ken Wilson another contract, and Blues decided to nix that, and Ken was out of a job.

I've never understood why they have radio and tv broadcast. It seems silly to pay for two separate set ups and announcers. We can argue that they picked the wrong one but for me they are about the same. I liked both and this was reinforced when I had to watch a national broadcast.

Today's sports teams are doing everything they can to get rid of fans, and they are doing pretty good job of it. Just look at attendance around the leagues.
Another reason to do something more productive and not follow teams.

Harry Caray got fired, anyone can get fired. I liked John, he calls the action better than the others but again anyone can get fired. Alexa never responded to my commands but she seemed well prepared for her broadcast responsibilities.

Well, if it comes out Kelly banged a wife of the owners family…

I am really surprised by this. I am 43 and I have heard kelly announce for a very long time. I think its a shame what just happened
