I dont think many thought we were going to win anything with the current team. It's like if anyone on this board is pleasantly surprised by the talent and enjoys them everyone assumes that means they think we will win it all. You can enjoy progress without thinking we can win the WS

You can enjoy progress without winning a WS. Now there’s a thought. Bravo.shebashab wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 09:32 amI dont think many thought we were going to win anything with the current team. This team was 2 out and split the Cubs at home. They need some help and an actual talented POBO/GM who really want to WIN would and should be working on improving this team. Things can change in an instant in Pro sports with the right moves……this org has been unwilling, too stupid, scared, whatever…..Mo is as good as gone so Bloom need to take charge and prove himselfsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 09:35 amYou can enjoy progress without winning a WS. Sans semi-pro ball I can match that.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 09:23 amI believe I know a little about baseball, rock, and maybe as much as you (after playing high school, college, and semi-pro ball). You know very little about baseball and are ONLY here to defend BDWjr and Mo.
You're a toady front office footstool they rest their feet on.![]()
No way you know more about the Cardinals and baseball than I do, of this I'm sure.
I'll give you the minor league system since that's not where my passion for baseball lies and why I appreciate a guy like 'duce who educates me w/his minor league reports.
And as a season ticket holder for over a decade I'd bet I attend more games in a homestand than you attend all season meaning my FEEDBACK is both warranted if critical and earned.

Didn’t say I knew more about the Cardinals and baseball than you. I said perhaps just as much.rockondlouie wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 10:44 amSans semi-pro ball I can match that.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 09:23 amI believe I know a little about baseball, rock, and maybe as much as you (after playing high school, college, and semi-pro ball). I check the minor league scores everyday because I know that the majority of the future lineup and pitching staff is going to have to come from within.

Re: It's time to admit
It is both - the Cardinals' roster should have been more talented, but Mo made some very poor decisions.
Just imagine if the Cardinals would not have:
traded Sandy Alcantara, Zac Gallen and Mags Sierra to Miami before the 2018 season.
sold Adolis Garcia to Texas before the 2020 season.
traded Randy Arozarena to Tampa Bay before the 2020 season.
traded Lane Thomas to Washington during the 2021 season.
The lineup in '22 could have looked something like this:
ss - Edman 13 HR/57 RBI
lf - Arozarena 20 HR/89 RBI
3b - Arenado 30 HR/103 RBI
1b - Goldschmidt 35 HR/115 RBI
rf - Garcia 27 HR/101 RBI
dh - Pujols 24 HR/68 RBI
cf - Thomas 17 HR/52 RBI
2b - Gorman 14 HR/35 RBI or Donovan 5 HR/45 RBI
c - Molina 5 HR/24 RBI
starting pitching:
Alcantara - 2.28 ERA/14-9/Cy Young award
Gallen - 2.54 ERA/12-4
Wainwright 3.71 ERA/11-12
Montgomery 3.48 ERA/9-6
Mikolas 3.29 ERA/12-13
stats are from '22 with respective teams

Well....the same sycophants seem to appear on any thread that is critical of DeTwit and Mo-ran. They are harmless and probably need some sort of attention.
