Fedde Overall
Fedde has made 17 starts:

1 game 6 ER
4 games 3 ER
3 games 2 ER
3 games 1 ER
3 games 0 ER
He’s been pretty much as expected. Maybe even better, these last 3 starts notwithstanding. They need to figure out how to get him back to where he was 4 starts ago. This is why he didn’t have as high of value in the offseason as many of you thought. If YOU were worried about regression, don’t you think the other teams were as well?

Re: Fedde Overall
And if Eddie Perez is to be believed he’s tipping
Re: Fedde Overall
Yes they are. It’s critical for guys like Fedde to attack the zone and not try and make the perfect pitch. He’s also, like most of the other Cardinals pitchers, needs to execute chase pitches better so the don’t turn into waste pitches. That became an issue with the Molina in his later years. Instead of calling for chase pitching, he kept encouraging pitchers to WASTE that 0-2, 1-2 pitch. He became predictable.Melville wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 18:54 pmWalks are killing him.Red7 wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 18:53 pm Fedde has made 17 starts:

Excellent post on your part!
Re: Fedde Overall
Do y’all watch his pitches….he throws low 90’s at best with no exceptional out pitch. If batters lay off his attempt to make them chase….he has to come to them with nothing more than BP…..what do you expect. Same as Miles
The only reason they’re in rotation is because BDW paid for a bad used car and feels he must get his mileage out of it regardless if it kills him
Illogical…..irrational…..and a losing mindset

Re: Fedde Overall
Another excellent observation.
You are on a roll!
I have seen the same from Winn, Scott, and Nootbaar in particular.
At times, you can see their eyes move and their weight shift when the pitch clock winds down.
I do not see that with N/A, Contreras, or Donovan.
Re: Fedde Overall
If accurate….they should start moving in the opposite direction

Re: Fedde Overall
Can’t defend his recent performances.
Is always behind in the count and walks too many.
Unfortunately when he does pitch good they generally don’t score much in support of his efforts!

Watch Scott closely in particular.Goldfan wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 19:15 pmIf accurate….they should start moving in the opposite direction![]()
You can see him favoring a specific direction and can see his surprise and adjustment when the ball instead goes in the direction he is not anticipating.
Same with Nootbaar - you can see him favoring the gap and break a split second late on balls down the line.
I am positive Red is right about hitters seeing the same thing - including with Winn on the infield.
Re: Fedde Overall
Scott isn’t nearly as good as he thinks he is and he’s going to get embarrassed with his hot dog chitMelville wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 19:28 pmWatch Scott closely in particular.Goldfan wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 19:15 pmIf accurate….they should start moving in the opposite direction![]()

Re: Fedde Overall
I don’t think a lot of people thought he had a high value but like I said in the off season his value was at its highest and should be tradedRed7 wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 18:53 pm Fedde has made 17 starts:

Re: Fedde Overall
Its worth noting that feddes peripherals were bad long before he started getting hammered. His strikeout rate is down from last year, his walk rate has skyrocketwd to even worse than his ore korea levels.
Fip and other metrics said he was getting lucky earlier. He now finally had regression with him experiencing lsightly bad luck. But overall his wra is probably in lune with his actual ability.

Re: Fedde Overall
Talk about overanalysis. If fielders were tipping pitches, how do you explain the success of Gray, Liberatore and Pallante? Among others. I prefer to give blame where blame is due.
