Missed seeing Wetherholt playing in Nashville by 5 days

Rats ! At the beginning of June, I was hoping JJ may be promoted to AAA by the last week of June . The Redbirds had games July 1, 2, and 3 in Nashville which is 1 hr. 45 min. from my place in mideast Tenn. Just my luck that the Cardinals waited til today to promote Wetherholt .
The Redbirds have no remaining games in Nashvlle so in order to see him play I have a nearly 5 hour drive to Memphis .
I had a feeling a couple weeks ago that his promotion may come right after 4th of July weekend and sure enough that's what happened.

Oh well,.. hoping he may get the 'cup of coffee' call-up in September and I can watch him on Cardinal games.

That usually happens with me in Frisco. The top prospects get promoted just before they come here.

Lucky for me, this year it didn't happen. Hate that you'll miss him, but happy that he got promoted.

Memphis is in Charlotte in August.

JJ, Roby, Mathews...hopefully not McGreevy, because I pray he's in STL rotation permanently by then.
