Re: Andy Strickland Interviews Logan Mailloux
I found that a very difficult interview to watch. Not because of the minor technical difficulties.

he's definitely got a hockey bro way about himself. Sometimes that is the perfect thing you need. Some of these guys overthink the situation and don't take advantage of it. I trust Army on this one. Bolduc was one of my favorites and had been clamoring for a couple years for him to get his shot. Bummed to see him go. But if this guy is worth anything, you have a decent shot at extending a solid D-core. Broberg, Mailloux, Lindstein (who is supposed to be the real deal) and hopefully Jiricek. That's 4 guys covering 2 lines for you.

Yea at this point you have to trust the organIzation they have been pushing all the right buttons lately on kids, i guess aside from Perunovich and Bokk although Bokk turned into Faulk. This team in a few years has a chance to have a very very good Dcallitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 09:48 am he's definitely got a hockey bro way about himself. Broberg Parayko
Lindstein Mailloux
Tucker Jiricek
and we know of course there are others that may ascend

He's a young man now and imo he likely needs some more maturing as a person and ultimately a player.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 09:24 amHe speaks like a knucklehead but thats not uncommon with a kid his ageFortyOunceCurls wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 09:18 am Definitely hard to watch. But to your point I'm more concerned with how he thinks than how he speaks and those two can certainly be exclusive of each other.
He's no dynamo speaker and takes his time getting there but the content of his conversation was mostly all on point.
Also, he's not hiding from what he did. He did not go into any details of that incident but he is not running from it either.
This is a big moment for the Blues and he's a big part of that.

I personally think hes going to a stud NHL defender at some point. I am envisioning some tough moments for him initially as he gets his feet wet and there will be the typical cackling. But after a year or so of development esp with this organization and the resources and former HOF players they can throw at him watch out. I see the tool box he possesses and I think he will become a fan favorite at some point. Not saying hes Chris Pronger by any means but i see some similaritydhsux wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 10:07 amHe's a young man now and imo he likely needs some more maturing as a person and ultimately a player.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 09:24 amHe speaks like a knucklehead but thats not uncommon with a kid his ageFortyOunceCurls wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 09:18 am Definitely hard to watch. No more long interviews with Logan please.. and I’m only halfway in.
The long aaaaa ‘s are unnerving, I can see teammates in the locker room, putting their earphones on loudly to drown him out.
I didn’t look it up, but I wonder if he’s Canadian and I wonder if that’s just way he’s grasping for the English words. He didn’t exactly put on an accent either. Someone else mentioned “likes” but no, it’s the lonnnnnng aaaaahh’s

The interview was fine. Yeah, he came across as a “bro” but…he’s a 22 yr old so he probably IS a bro. I don’t really care as long as he’s a decent person and a good hockey player.

There's absolutely no difference from him and say Kyrou/Thomas 3 years ago. Kyrou is a total bro too and answered in similar mannerisms. Thomas was always a tough listen but he at least isn't afraid to be honest about things from time to time. This isn't outside the realm of normal stuff.
Re: Andy Strickland Interviews Logan Mailloux
This interview is exactly what I was expecting after reading the Habs boards. Hope his chemistry gels with the team as I am not sure we have a Bortuzzo type who will knock some sense into a rookie who needs it.
