Didn't need a reset to know what kind of player he is.
A 4th Of'er.

An ongoing condition called overa-titis
Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
He seems congenitally unable to gain more than a few weeks of traction before being completely lost for weeks in between.
Hot/cold players aren't anything new, but I'm not sure I've ever seen it in a more frustrating form, with a guy who even when cold should theoretically have the skills to at least keep getting on base. But no he just expands and K's more.

Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
Nootbaar has always been in the “what if” category mostly based on health.
A few nagging injuries this season but mostly healthy.
He seems to be a roller coaster? Up and down.
Decent defensively but I question his baseball IQ.
Appears to be a platoon OF.
Not bad....but not a core player.
If a decent offer from a team looking for a LH OF comes along I’d deal him.
Cards have other LH bats who are all more consistent.

Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
Why does it take YEARS to SEE what kink of players they have????
I’ve been saying for Years what they have
is there anyone employed by Cards who have their eyes opened or are they all mandated with a BDW glaze???

Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
Noot's a StatCast star.
I fell for the metrics and defended him for the last couple years.
But it's time to move past the high exit velo, HH%, bat speed & BB% and realize he's NOT ever going to be much more than a solid #3 OF'er.
On this team, he's still the best all-round (hitting, fielding, running) OF'er and that's sad.
Mo has failed for many years to put a decent OF on the field, hopefully w/his departure C. Bloom can start to re-build it.

Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
He's an above average outfielder with a 1.0 WAR but that's really not a star, more like a 4th outfielder type. I fear we've seen the best of Noot and while he could improve, I think he really is what he is.
Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
We do. You have less credibility than anyone on the Cardinals. You are just guessing.Goldfan wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 10:27 amIf only y’all would read my postsAlex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 10:26 amAgreed I to fell for them.rockondlouie wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 10:22 am Noot's a StatCast star.

Re: Nootbaar Multi hit games
He's probably wearing down already because he's never had to play a full season. Plus, he's just not as good as the Noooooooooooot fans and Mozeliak think he is.
And Mozeliak never ever sells high on a player. A visionary he is not.
