As was discussed in the offseason, the Cardinals mistake isn't going to have been trading for Fedde. It's going to be not having "sold high" on him last winter if there was interest by other teams in acquiring him.

Shelby Miller for a very good 2015 from Heyward. The '15 rotation will still good enough for a SI cover and 100 wins. Back when they could draft and develop pitching

Not a bad one, although it pales a little since ATL sold him even higher that very next offseason and got Swanson and Inciarte.

Yeah, that was a better sell high since he fell off a cliff in '16 as a starter. I'm happy to see him bounce back as a reliever.

On the plus side... he would only be owed $3.5M roughly after the deadline.
At that price I could see some team(s) being willing to roll the dice on him?
