We all know a perfect game is no walks, no hits but what is a perfect perfect game?
1- 81 pitches with 27 straight Ks
or
2- 27 pitches and 27 outs?
Neither will ever happen.....well unless it's Rockies against Dodgers, then..maybe

Re: Perfect Perfect game
Fun thought.
Either could qualify.
I'd say the 81 pitch game is more attainable.

Re: Perfect Perfect game
For me, number one is harder as you have to throw 81 straight pitches for stiles, verse two, where you only need 27 straight.HorseTrader wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025 12:46 pm We all know a perfect game is no walks, no hits but what is a perfect perfect game?

Re: Perfect Perfect game
The first one would probably be called and Immaculate Game, taking after the Immaculate Inning.

If one could gather an infinite number of monkeys throwing an infinite number of baseball games, then it certainly would happen. At least that's what my journalism anthropology professor told me, or something like that.
Re: Perfect Perfect game
In scenario #2, somebody better take a pitch at least by the 2nd inning!HorseTrader wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025 12:46 pm We all know a perfect game is no walks, no hits but what is a perfect perfect game?

I’m thinking we might see either against the Cards before the year is over.
