Brewers P Woodruff shines in season debut

Post by ramfandan »

As I posted on Friday, the Brewers had 2-time All Star ace making his 1st start today since 2023 season TJ surgery.

Woodruff pitched 7 innings giving up just 2 hits and 1 run.
53 of his 70 pitches were strikes as he was painting the corners .

Today’s game with Marlins still in progress.. top of 8th
2-1 Brewers lead.

With All Star Woodruff back and rookie fireballer Misiorowski who has pitched well, Milwaukee has improved considerably.
They should be active at trade deadline.

PS OF Blake Perkins makes debut soon after fracture tibia in spring training. Garret Mitchell returns after long absence too.
Final 11 weeks a much better roster.

Go Cards ! Need good trade deadline deal(s).

The Brewers are so well run. Signing Woodruff for 2 years is another example.

Feb. 22nd injury happened.. was expected out 7-10 weeks. In May during rehab period, he pulled a groin adding to situation.
