Still so happy about this. As soon as Kindel went 11th I thought there was a chance. I really trust a player who will make any real time adjustment to score a goal. All this kid wants to do is score goals for the Blues now. He is chomping at the bit to get into the NHL and score goals for us.

Real curious if he does go to college if he signs after the season and goes to AHL. Definitely not trying to fast track the kid but im pretty excited with the skillset. This kids body frame is built the way kyrou wishes his was. He wants to be a pro. If he chooses to go to the ncaa i am hoping hagens goes and they are line mates.

A pre-draft ranking I posted last week said he had one of the best shots and hands.

At the prospect camp on Tuesday, I saw a nifty move. Carbonneau was down by the net, and somebody fired the puck high off the boards, and the puck ricocheted straight back. Carbonneau caught the careening puck with his stick like he was wearing a baseball glove, and then carried it to the net, and put a shot on net.

The young man has incredible hand-eye-coordination.

What would you say to calling him a "potential" Jake neighbors on the 200 feet but a Snuggeraud on the other end of the spectrum in hands....in one?

Others might have other opinions, but Jake to me is more hound + 10 feet in scorer

Snuggerud is a sniper.

Carbonneau is a shifty, create space and snap one off.

Carbonneau operates too much like a one-man team. He needs to play with stronger players on both sides. No more Q IMO. He should go to a strong college team for at least 2 years.

He wasnt on my radar at all cause 1. I was mainly focused on the draft eligible Dmen, and 2. I didnt see you or Stl in MN or any of the other knowledgeable draftniks post about
Carbonneau (I know you loved him in the beginning but didnt post much about him after that cause ya didnt think he’d be available at 19). Otherwise I would’ve looked him up and been a huge fan earlier, cause he definitely has the size, speed, skills, shot, and physicality to be a star in this league. Im stoked to watch his progression. With his size, I honestly think he’ll be in the NHL within a couple years.

I'm liking the College experience to mature these young players but for Carbonneau I'd rather have him in Springfield ASAP for a potential call up this year even or next.

The selfish part of me says i want him in Springfield all season. But i think the smart move is go to boston and hopefully play a full season on a line with hagens. Hopefully he has a big year and sign after the season where he can get some AHL time against men and ready for the club the following. Or depending on injuries maybe right to the club. I think the ncaa is his next step

I like this approach for a season then reassess. Could be AHL bound after a year in Boston honestly. Especially if he plays really well.
