Expectations
Worst thing to happen is better start than expected. I don’t care if they are close to a wild card. All I care about is getting past the inept POBO and starting a new era. Cards have some young talent, but not enough. They have to cash in some assets at the deadline to add a couple more young players. How did the Cubs get PCA? They traded a name player at the deadline. Anything else is noise. Management already showed their disdain for the fan base by allowing MO to stay on an extra year to save face. I’ve said it all year and stand by it: This team will finish 2025 under .500.

Re: Expectations
They could go anywhere from 10 to 20 games below .500. Ceiling is probably an even .500. I suppose you could say they have been exposed and are reeling from it right now. Settling to where you belong is painful when they gave a brief glimmer of hope. They are playing disgruntled, disappointed, and embarrassed now. Hard to watch.jackclark57 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 08:01 am Worst thing to happen is better start than expected. I don’t care if they are close to a wild card.
