Re: How Will Kyrou React To The Rumors?
I cannot understand why Kyrou isn't getting credit for the strides he has made over the last couple of years. He has gone from being a minus 38 in 22-23 to a plus 23 ( the best Blues forward ) last year. All while maintaining his 70 point average over the last 3 years. He is listening and can be coached as the plus numbers would indicate. Yeah he still has other areas of improvement but minus 38 to a plus 23? Lets relax and see if the trend continues.

Any number of reasons, just wanting attention, grinder fetish, unwillingness to change opinions from the -38 days. Mostly cause we are where we are though, a town that immortalized Bob Bassen, Bo Hart, Rex Hudler. You don’t have to have talent so long as you try really really hard.larueskee wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 11:14 am I cannot understand why Kyrou isn't getting credit for the strides he has made over the last couple of years. Winnipeg played him right. I agree kyrou needs more heart but im interested how that series goes with holloway there. Its a totally different team and tempo.theograce wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 10:26 amYeah McDavid looked horrible once they played Florida. Kyrou’s linemates were subpar from a generation perspective. That is just realityYounghopp1991 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 10:23 amTotally agree. He was the main target with schenn often banging around. Im in the camp that he definitely could have had a better postseason for sure. Should have shown more heart. But he scored in game 1 and game 7 after getting rocked in game 2. He was invisible at times but he had zero creativity around him for most the series. Im hopefully that he has a big offseason and can remain injury free. Im sure after that hit he realized he doesn’t like getting hit like that. If you want a cup then you have to figure it out because thats how we hit so he will have a target.

I am interested how the playoffs go with a healthy Holloway. That kid is the straw that stirred the drink most of the season and especially in that big run to get to the playoffs. He was an unbelievable player for the Blues this year, and I believe still has some more levels to get to before he peaks.

Same here. Love Holloways game. If kyrou would play with half the energy that Holloway has, and improved his game away from the puck and fore checking, he would be a killer.Lets_Clinch wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 11:41 amI am interested how the playoffs go with a healthy Holloway. Re: How Will Kyrou React To The Rumors?
We, and the players, know how Kryou reacts to adversity and rough going. He got hit in period 1 of the playoffs, and was silent until his golf cart pulled up.
We, and the players, all know that zero negative consequences arrived for Kyrou following his disappearance. None.
The only question remaining now is how will all the young players respond. Why not follow Kyrou's lead? The disappearing act worked out very well for him.
Don't blame Kyrou!!!!! He is being the same person that he has been since birth. Blame Army. He is the guy that invested in Kryou for 8 years, and gave him a No-trade-clause cherry on top.

Re: How Will Kyrou React To The Rumors?
I hated how Kyrou didnt have a greater impact on the series after getting rocked. But, as Bleedr and others pointed out, Schenn and Neighbors were part of the issue. Given his strides elsewhere, I think he's earned a pass.
How will he react?
How did he react to the crowd booing him?
How did he react to bring called overpaid?
How did he react to being -39 on a team with a -39 goal differential?
Every time, he put his head down, focused on what he needed to do to improve, and had a better year.
How will he respond to national trade rumors, rumors he fully expected given the timing of his NTC and the escalating cap?
40g/85p/+20. That's my guess.
