Not a bad option. Who do the Cards DFA?

if he has to be added to the active roster, Hampson or Fermin

I have no idea what his defense is like, but his bat seems lively and could use an OFer that can actually hit

He makes Siani look like a power hitter.

dude was hitting .330 at AAA

I don't care about power, I want contact

To be clear, you’re wanting really weak contact.

He has a .403 BABIP where he’s at. Where were you on Steward a month ago when he was hitting .195 with the Blue Jays AAA team? They gave him away for cash and the Dodgers are dumping him a month later.

He’s hitting .270 with a .703 OPS in AAA, not .330

He’s nothing.

It seems like the Cards spend a lot of energy on the bottom of the MLB roster. I don’t really care who the 25th and 26th men are. I don’t really care who is on the Memphis shuttle. I want some true prospects to come through the system and beat the door down to the MLB roster. Mathews and JJ may be the next two to do that. We need to have at least 1-2 a year in that mold. Not AAAA players. Bonafide majors leaguers.
