Never been a LH hitting 2B in MLB history with his HR power ceiling.
Will his reach that ceiling?
Time will tell.
J.J. is steaming towards 2B, Gorman's ticket is punched for 3rd base the day NADO is gone.
That will be a bad day when Gorman takes over at 3rd having a sub .700 mediocre defensive third baseman will not be good for the team
Not ideal for sure if he continues to struggle.

But he does have the power bat you need at 3rd base so let's hope he doesn't.

JMO but J.J. or Donny aren't the type of hitters you want at a power position (1st/3rd).

J.J. needs to play 2nd base (or hopefully C. Bloom gets creative and turns him into a CF'er! :D ), Donny LF unless J.J. makes the move to CF.
He has a .730 OPS in almost 1400 career plate appearances had .721 ops or less in 3 of his four seasons a sub .700 OPS last season and this season. A full season of him playing everyday will be brutal
Could be for sure.

But if it happens (and I'm not saying for sure it will), then let's hope the 27 HR/.805 OPS Gorman reappears.
He already has.
As I consistently and repeatedly correctly analyzed from opening day, all he needs is regular playing time.
I gave my personal guarantee that if STL played him he would hit.
Which, obviously and inevitably, is precisely what has happened.
In June, he had 21 starts and 88 PA's.
How did that work out?
.256/.341/.526/.867 - with 6 HR and 16 RBI.
He and Burleson had a nearly identical month - and were far and away the most productive hitters on the team.
Could not have been more obvious that he needed was playing time.
My advice to all?
Keep learning.

He has very low standards for what he considers good players. Career .730 OPS in close to 1400 at bats and this is a great rare player lol

I've always thought they did Gorman a disservice by trying to convert him to 2B.
They should given him an outfielder's glove from the onset.

ME-ville - where have you been ?
Travel nationwide quite a bit with my work.
I go where my clients are and work a lot of hours when advising them.
Sometimes, that means depriving my followers here for stretches of time.
LMFAO
You don’t travel anywhere, manage anyone, or do squat!
Give us a break Sideshow.
You sit in your bedroom and type away.
But....you are amusing! LOL
Your “act” needs new material. Getting stale.
He’s a one trick pony
People who are genuinely accomplished don’t need to constantly blow their own horn.
Their accomplishments speak for themselves.
And they certainly don’t brag and babble on an anonymous message board to complete strangers.
He’s a complete fraud and a pathological liar.
Besides anyone claiming to do what he does would NOT waste their time coming up with childish nicknames for people.
But...he does provide daily laughs which is a plus.
He is the Sideshow Clown.

I miss Maaarrrgie...much more entertaining schtick
That poster was before my time here.
We still have some doosies though.
ME-ville the Sideshow Clown probably the biggest FRAUD of the bunch.
