Dodgers looking for 3B
Max Muncy blew his knee out last night
Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
I just saw the highlight looks like an ACL
His left leg was planted catching a throw at third and some White Sox dude some caved his left leg in on slide

Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
Of course Roberts is "optimistic" until the MRI comes out today.
There is signigifant damage to that knee based on the video I saw.

it is on YouTube - doesn't look that bad to me
Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
Per MLB trade rumors
“Dodgers infielder Max Muncy needed to be helped off the field yesterday after suffering a knee injury on the bases, but after the game manager Dave Roberts told reporters (including MLB.com’s Sonja Chen) that the team is “optimistic” after initial testing. Still, Muncy is being sent for an MRI today to determine the severity of the injury. Those results could be back in time for the club’s game against the White Sox tonight. An IL trip for Muncy would likely mean an opening for Hyeseong Kim to receive more frequent playing time, though losing a .252/.377/.461 hitter like Muncy from the lineup would certainly be a blow for the Dodgers.”
Doesn’t sound like they’d be shopping for Arenado. And Kim has a .932 OPS, albeit in limited PT (94 PAs). They might survive without trading for Arenado.

Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
I doubt he even crossed the dodgers mind. Why?
Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
Nolan is a Southern California guy, so there is that connection. Also money is no object to the Dodgers.
But probably they can slot Hyeseong Kim in at 2b and Tommy Tanks can play 3b. So they aren't exactly desperate.
If Nolan were to go to the Dodgers you just know he would put up a 1.000 OPS second half.

I know. This is the third thread about it.
Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
Waiting on a MRI today. Could be a strain or season ending. Once they know, then the trade rumors heat up.

bone bruise - he'll be back in August
Re: Dodgers looking for 3B
Good for him!
Hate to see a player hurt, especially an ACL.
