Re: Before and After lineups
Right now I don’t think that’s a better lineup on paper.
Re: Before and After lineups
That 3rd pairing is kinda rough
Re: Before and After lineups
That is where I am at. Just hate the Mailoux deal still after a day of trying to get over it. Will see how it plays out as you never know until the puck drops. I agree with Harry on other post the we could easily see Torpochenko on the third line for Sunny, and Walker getting put on 4th line.
This team would have been MUCH improved if we kept Bolduc and signed Suter. Then the Neighbors-Suter-Bolduc third line would have been excellent.

Re: Before and After lineups
3rd pair is a question mark for sure. However, Tucker improved a lot last season and was good enough to replace Suter in the playoff series until Tucker's injury. I remember when it happened thinking it was a bummer because Tucker had settled in pretty well.
Re: Before and After lineups
Probably not better but definitely not worse. Probably very similar.

If Dvorsky isn’t on that 3rd line to start the season that would be extremely disappointing. I’m betting he’s gonna be there

Re: Before and After lineups
Slightly worse IMHO, simply because I don’t think we have a 3rd line winger who will produce as much as Bolduc.
With that said, the Suter move gets Sunny off the 3rd line altogether, I hope. That should add some offense there from Suter to make up a portion of Bolducs output. I just don’t knkw how productive Texier/Joseph/Dvorsky will be in that slot.
I think the defense is better once Malloux gets up to speed.

Also, there are more options than what you a showing. Some thoughts on the forwards:
- Torpochecko could replace Sunny on the 3rd line. Suter with some physical wingers could work out (or not)
- Sunny and Bjugstad pairing could be a good experienced shutdown line.
- Walker is in the picture and gives the option of more physical "crazy" line. Same with Joseph. Those two on the 4th could be a "banger" like line.
- Does Texier come in and get a fresh start to show some pop with Suter?
- And some of the kids are knocking at the door. Stenberg, Dvorsky, Kaskimati. It's a long year as we found out last year.
I think the forward group has alot more options now. Camp or early season will hopefully help decide. But it's a more balanced group than before.
The defense is now more inexperienced. That's more of the question mark to me (although more balanced):
- Can Tucker continue his development?
- Is Kessel there to provide a good option? Especially if someone gets injured.
- Will Mailloux be ready for a full time role?

89 18 21
81 10 25
63 Suter 13/Alexandrov/Texier/Dvorsky/Additional move
70/71/13 Buj 26
Still plenty of questions before opening night.

I have to believe he will be. Getting that Thomas break-in! If not at the start, we will definitely see him at some point on that line imo...Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 19:34 pm If Dvorsky isn’t on that 3rd line to start the season that would be extremely disappointing. Re: Before and After lineups
Agree, Suter is a solid addition and a player we definitely needed. He will probably be a 17g/23a type player, but is a good 200’ player.
In a nutshell, our season hinges on Snuggerud being able to make a big step forward and possibly someone coming up from springfield who can add scoring on the 3rd line.

This is either a really dumb troll job, or you don’t actually watch much hockey. Which of these guys do you want to be?
