Thanks for ruining my birthday week, Cardinals
To celebrate my 40th birthday this week the wife bought me a vacation to Pittsburgh (a city I've never beeen to) to watch the Cardinals all 3 games.
It was really amazing and special of her, however the vacation was not so much fun.
Beautiful ballpark and very underrated city. Great bar scene and hit the links a few times for golf.
But the cardinals single handedly ruined the fun for me. The fact I had to hear it from Pirates fans all week is downright depressing.
Seriously, not 1 run?? All week? Every game I went to sucked and I wish we could have gotten our money back

Re: Thanks for ruining my birthday week, Cardinals
I have always taken a week for my birthday to go a vacation. Either to see a few Cardinal games or go on a golf trip with the boys or a relaxing beach. Last few years the cardinals have sucked so went to Hawaii both years with the wife.DwaininAztec wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 15:35 pmWhat are you 12 years old. Some of us older guys don't mind celebrating our years, especially if it includes Cardinal baseball games.
I'm a school teacher so I have nothing better to do with my summers haha

Re: Thanks for ruining my birthday week, Cardinals
Why? Its a birthday. I'm 41, my wife is 37 and the last birthday we even recognized was our nieces 1 year old birthday. Much less a birthday week. I barely even realize when my birthday comes up. I hope you got a nice tiaravegascardsfan5890 wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 15:52 pmI have always taken a week for my birthday to go a vacation. So…
You have your health
You have the financial resources to travel
You have a wife that loves you.
and your journey is ruined by a krappy baseball team composed of strangers …
Really?

Ruined your birthday week? The marmot and mo has nearly killed my love for the Cards. This is literally the worst time to be a Cards fan since the 70s, but atleast that team had some character.

Don’t cry. Enjoy the fact you got to take a fun trip and see a cool stadium. I’ve been wanting to go to Pit for awhile.
