Blues cheerleaders

Post by Emma bleeds blue »

Hey guys - I've been thinking about auditioning for the Blue Crew this August, but the website is a little squishy on what the true time commitment is. Has anyone been on the Blue Crew in the past or know someone who was?

I'd totally love to do it, it looks like a lot of fun, and would love if anyone could share their experience 😉

You have to go to OB Ques's and do the Michael Jackson Thriller dance in the parking lot - they'll call you back if you're in.

I would say goodluck in your tryouts. There could be some competition. If you can skate you might prefer the ice girls. Here is the link for auditions if you don't have it. https://www.nhl.com/blues/fans/blue-crew-tryouts

Emma, you seem legit and not some fat,50-year old man screwing with us! My daughter has a friend that is a Blue Crew girl. I’ll see if my daughter can get any helpful information from her and I’ll pass it along.

My daughter gave me something on Instagram (@stlbluecrew) but Larueskee, I think you have it covered. She said you can register for the pre-audition clinics thru links on the Instagram page, but that the official registration link for auditions hasn’t been posted yet.

It’s been a few years, but I had a buddy who dated one of the cheerleaders. She and I didn’t talk about it extensively, but it sounded like a physically demanding job, and was definitely at least a part time job from a time commitment perspective. I gather she liked the games, but there were other events that she needed to go to from time to time – joining Louie or a player at a special function.

Most of the time, these functions sounded pretty cool, notwithstanding the occasional creep. I’d laugh anytime she described one of the weirdos - they’d be 60 year old dudes who own 3 fedoras thinking they could hit on her. These are the kind of guys who whisper ”hee-hee” into their bbq ribs before eating them. Single uncles who smell like cologne, conspiracy theories, and lighter fluid. They’d go to BBQ restaurants and clap when the grill sparked up, then make references to a pop artist who hasn’t been relevant since flip phones. The kind of guys who thought smooth criminal was a documentary about their dating life.

If you can tolerate dudes like that, you should be fine. Good luck on your audition.
