I'm listening to the MLB Network free game. These guys are a breath of fresh air compared to Chip and Brad! They actually talk baseball and stick to it!

Gray giving the team a chance. Come on offense, score some runs!

Detroit also I believe. I get a feeling we are going to see all the pending free agents walk with no returns. I don’t see them offering the comp pick to Helsley and if they do he won’t get the $50 million contract needed to get a pick.
I think Boston got there pick in a trade so they can’t trade it?

Saggese looks like a forever AAA player to me

Birds need someone to POP one
Saggese's stock is falling, can't believe some thought he'd be the 2B or 3B of the future.

Most of the time it sounds like B Thompson is there to translate everything into Bro Talk.
i.e.
Carey: "Here comes the pitch to Burleson... Swing and a long one, way back and gone! Burleson with the two-run home run!"
Thompson: "Watch. The. Big. Man. RAKE! Burley Burl with the epic two-tally hot tomale to the cheap seats! Feeling it TIGHT!"

I desperately want a late 30's pick.kyace wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 12:50 pmDetroit also I believe. I get a feeling we are going to see all the pending free agents walk with no returns. And yeah, Helsley isn't getting any sort of contract to meet anyone of 3 different criteria for a Compensation pick. There was NO play other than trading him.

1-2-3 go the Birds on the No Bats.
Re: GDT : Cards @ Pirates (7/2) ~ 11:35am CDT
He’s mentally soft and has a low baseball IQ.
So is Nootbaar among others.
And having dunces on your coaching staff doesn’t help.

Have we ever been swept and gone scoreless in a series?
