Gray today. Of course we all expect an encore a repeat. I wonder what the stats are for a pitcher, next game, after a complete game.

am I wrong, or is he not fond of the day game? I wouldn't put too much stock into an encore, that was a masterful gem. I'm scared he might get hit a bit today.

I hope I'm wrong...we need the offense to back up at least 6 IP from him.

That’s my point. We all expect a stop today. But it comes on the heels of a basic perfect game- one hitter over, 9 innings. Seems to me the next starts are generally rougher. Bad time for a rough start for our Ace.

For his career Gray has a 3.08 ERA/1.16 WHIP/.595 winning% in day games vs 3.74 ERA/1.20 WHIP/.529 winning% at night.
This year he has a 3.19 ERA/1.08 WHIP/3-0 in day games vs 3.55 ERA/1.10 WHIP/5-2 in night games.

Whether he prefers night games over day games though, I don’t know. :D

Nolan Gorman at cleanup. He has come a long way this season. It is exciting to see. His power is undeniable. He will continue to K, but it is nice to see him take a walk sometimes. It certainly looks like he is swinging at junk less often.

Go Cards ... a win today would be very nice ....

there you go...I know they've moved his starts to night games of a DH this season....maybe that's the leap I made in my head

thanks...I was super wrong there.

I’ve always wondered though what is the cutoff for day games vs night game? I mean there’s a difference in an 11 AM start vs a 3 PM or whatever start and my guess is both are considered “day” games. I wonder what he has been like in 11 AM kind of starts.
